It’s the 1920’s in Chicago at the height of the mafia’s stranglehold on the city. In the midst of the battle between rival families, one of the family bosses has been murdered! Suspects abound from both the murdered boss' crime syndicate as well as from rival families. Everyone is a potential suspect, even his wife and secret mistress.
The lead detective that was working the case has disappeared as he was getting to close to the unveiling the two killers' identities. With pressure from a corrupt Mayor's office who was known to associate with the slain crime boss, the chief has assigned your team to pick up the case to try and solve this before the killers leave town.
Using the murder board and evidence (see below), you must solve the murder by the end of the night. Eliminate suspects by going through the evidence until you figure out who the true killer is. Your team will work both at your team table as well as throughout the surrounding rooms and grounds to find all of the evidence and hidden clues you will need to find the killer.
HOW TO WIN
Once teams have determined who the killer is, they will complete an arrest request form and turn it in to the game host. They only get one guess! First team to identify the correct suspect wins. All teams will play for the first 70 minutes. We will collect any team guesses up to that point. For the teams that are still playing and have yet to turn in their suspect guess, we will take a vote to extend the time for 15 minute windows to allow the satisfaction of finishing for those teams still playing. For the teams that have submitted their suspect guess by that point, they will be given a QR scan code that they can scan with one of their team member's smart phone that will launch a mini-trivia game on our gaming app so they can stay engaged while waiting on the other teams.
As you move through the game, you will be crossing off suspects on the 4-foot x 3-foot murder board using dry erase markers provided at each team table. Your murder board will be on an easel and turned away so no other teams can see it. We also include a suspect eliminate worksheet if you want your work to be more private away from spying eyes!
Divide and conquer! Teams must delegate members of their teams to traverse the grounds to find the clues and evidence packets needed to begin eliminating suspects from the murder board.
Your Team Kit will be waiting for you on your team table when you arrive along with a lock box that your team will need to figure out how to open to reveal a tool to help you in your investigation.
